  • Last stock! Pangea Gecko Diet with Fig & Insects

Pangea Pangea Gecko Diet with Fig & Insects

    1 in stock

The absence of bananas is perfect for geckos that don't seem to really like banana flavor foods.  By using other base fruits we were able to incorporate fig into the diet while still maintaining very low levels of Oxalic acid. We have incorporated crickets and black soldier fly larvae as the main source of protein. This formula has twice the amount of insects as our original "With Insects" formula Pangea Fig & Insects mixes up a bit thinner than other formulas due to not having the banana as an ingredient, but the geckos seem to like this thinner mix. It can be more difficult to see lick marks so we recommend offering smaller amounts to begin with so you can see it disappear.  Pangea will offer this formula for a few months and decide based on customer and seller feedback whether or not to make it a permanent addition to our gecko food lineup. Directions:  Mix 1 part powder to 2 parts water, adjust to achieve desired consistency. This mix is not as thick as our other formulas because there is no banana. Offer food daily and remove uneaten food after 24 hours. Prepared mix is good for up to 7 days if refrigerated. Open dry mix is good for 6 months at room temperature or 1 year if refrigerated.  Unopened shelf life is 2 years.  Occasional insect feedings are recommended but optional. Ingredients:  Organic Dried Mango, Dried Apricot, Insect Meal, Micellar Casein, Organic Dried Fig, Organic Natural Fig Flavor, Calcium Carbonate, Di-Calcium Phosphate, Organic Natural Berry Flavor, Ground Flaxseed, Lecithin, Algae Meal, MalicAcid, Potassium Sorbate, Xanthan Gum, Mixed Tocopherols, Choline Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Ferrous Fumarate, Beta Carotene, Inositol, Niacin, Kelp Meal, Ascorbic Acid, Cholecalciferol (D3), Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Biotin, Folic Acid, Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin B12. • Pangea Gecko Diet Growth & Breeding Formula

Pangea Pangea Gecko Diet Growth & Breeding Formula

    3 in stock

The main source of fat and protein in this food is from Insects (crickets and black soldier fly larvae) while still remaining palatable and well liked by almost all geckos. The fruits used are a delicious blend of Bananas and Apricots that creates a feeding response similar to our other formulas.  The higher fat levels help keep egg production strong throughout the breeding season.  The calcium level is near the maximum level for a complete diet.  It is safe and sometimes necessary to add a little plain calcium to the food if your females are becoming depleted. Alternatively, you can offer plain calcium in a dish for your females to lick from as needed.   To get the most out of this diet, fresh food should be offered at least every other day during the breeding season even though there will be some waste. Smaller more frequent feedings are more appropriate for breeders than sparse feedings on which they tend to gourge themselves.  Live dusted insects are optional but can be offered once or twice a week in place of PBF for variety and to help keep your geckos active and stimulated. PBF was is ideally suited as a breeder formula but can be fed to geckos of all life stages.  It is showing a lot of promise as a growth formula however it was developed and tested with breeders so it will take more time before we can conclusively make that claim.        -Very Palatable.      -Most of the protein and fat from insect sources.      -Higher fat content for great breeding results.      -Maximum calcium levels.      -Excellent For Breeders but can also be fed to geckos of all life stages. Mixing:  This is a thicker mix and is usually eaten best when mixed thick like ketchup.  2.5 parts water to 1 part powder. Generally speaking, most geckos are not going to clean their bowl everytime as they may with the lower fat content formulas. Ingredients: Dried Banana, Dried Apricot, Insect meal, Whey Protein Isolate, Micellar Casein, Tricalcium  Phosphate, Vegetable Oil, Ground Flaxseed, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Carbonate, Algae Meal, Sodium Chloride, Natural Guava Flavor, Mixed Tocopherols, Choline Chloride, Ferrous Fumarate, Potassium Sorbate, Beta Carotene, Inositol, Niacin, Kelp Meal, Ascorbic Acid, Cholecalciferol (D3), Potassium Chloride, Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Biotin, Folic Acid, Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin B12.  Guaranteed Analysis: Crude Protein Min 21%, Crude Fat Min 5.7%, Crude Fiber Max 8%, Moisture Max 9%, Ash Max 8%
